Cricket.
On Saturday a. team of cricketers from Bongotea visited Bunnythorpe and played a friendly match against a team from the local club. Bongotea won on the first innings with a. total of 74, Bunnythorpe’s score reaching only 4S. Bunnythorpe batted first. The top scorer for the home side was B. O -'Sullivan, who was run out at 19, the only other player to reach double figures beiug A, Baisin, with 11. The visitors’ best scorer was F. AVright, senr., with 18 to his credit, no others reaching double figures. Bunnythorpe commenced a second innings in which they were showing an improvement on their first innings, having lost only 3 wickets for 98, when stumps were drawn. P. Krammer, one of the opening batsmen, who had the misfortune to be run ont without opening his score in tho first innings, came to light with a valuablo 55, while H, Godfrey reached 15 before play ceased.
