Palmerston North Free Ambulance
On Friday evening last the headquarters of the Free Ambulance was the scone of a very pleasant euchre evening. Although tho notice given was short thero was quite a good gathering of supportors and their friends, and the games were closely contested. Before the commencement of the evoning’s play, a member of the Free Ambulance conunittoc welcomed the players and expressed the hopo that all present would enjoy their games and continue, with their friends, to support the evenings every Friday through the winter. It was also announced that the euchre parties were being run by the Free Ambulance committee for the sole purpose of furthering tho work of tho service. During supper tho prizes were distributed as follows:—Ladies, Mesdames Johansen and Heouey tied; Gents, Mr. Barrett; Sealed number prize, Mrs. Franklin. The members of tho ladies’ committee were congratulated upon thoir efforts which contributed the major portion of a most enjoyable evening.
