Napier Carnival Closes
CROWD OF 25,000 ON SATURDAY EVENING. Per Pros 3 Association NAPIER, Jan. 30. Pinal scenes of gaiety marked the closing of tko carnival on Saturday evening, when a crowd estimated at in the vicinity of 25,000 people ) was in the streets. A masked parade was held which included over two thousand peoplo and was headed by three bands. The weather was line. At midnight “Auld Lang Syne” was sung by thousands as a fitting finale to a week of jollity.
