PAHIATUA BEAT PALMERSTON NORTE*
In a Stockwell Cup match, teams of six-a-sidc from the Pahiatua and Palmerston North Anglers.’ Clubs tneu conclusions over the week-end, an exciting contest giving Pahiatua a winning margin of seven fish at the end of the day. The match took place on the Manawatu on the Kumeroa-Ngawapura stretch of the river and the conditions were good, the day being fine though dull and with a* light breeze to ruffle the surface of the water. With one exception the contestants put their faith in the dry fly and with a mile of water allocated to each pair the day’* aggregates were: Pahiatua 27 fish and Palmerston North 20 fish.
