In the State 100 yards running championship, Nablc (Western Suburbs) beat liampson, the holder, with MeCalfery (Eastern Suburbs) third. Won by inches. Time 10 1-10. The finish -was so close on the heavy ground that there was some indecision in. announcing tho result. The crowd were so surprised at the result that tho judges were hooted.
