Makino School
TEACHERS PARE WELLED AND WELCOMED
On Friday last a large gathering attended the school for the dual purpose of farewelliug Miss Mac Duff and welcoming the incoming head teacher, Mr. Mayne, and his wife. Miss Mac Duff, who had been assistant teacher at the school for three years, was presented with a very handsome leather travelling case. The farewell and the welcoming was impressively rendered in Maori song by the Misses Hynes. The official duties were ably carried out by Mr. Simpson. Vocal items and dances rounded off a very pleasant evening. (
