Britain’s Death Total Reaches Staggering Figures United Frcss Assn.—By Electric Telegraph. >—Copyright. Received Friday, 11.30 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 27. Influenza is still spreading in Britain. Last week’s deaths numbered 1,589. Many other European countries are experiencing the epidemic but none so seriously as Britain which had 1,041 deaths in the week ending January 14, out of the world-wide total of 3000. It is now estimated that from ten to fifteen per cent, of the whole adult population is down with the attack.
