MORE THAN A MILLION AND A-HALF SHUTTLECOCKS A YEAR are made by these hard-working girls of a London firm from goose feathers that come to Great Britain from all parts of the world. Allowing for waste, it takes approximately one goose to provide feathers for one shuttlecock. The increased popularity of badminton has also made the demand for shuttlecocks greater.
