Waterloo Bridge’s Huge Repair Bill
WORK TO PROCEED British Official Wireless Received Wednesday, 7.0 p.m, RUGBY, Jan. 24. A letter from tho Ministry of Transport was read at -the London County Council meeting to-day which stated that the Government had reached the conclusion to proceed to recondition Waterloo Bridge at an estimated cost of £685,000. A grant of 60 per cent, of the cost is to be made by the Ministry. It is suggested that the question of corbelling should bo referred to the Line Arts Commission.
