The euchre and dancei arranged by the Freezing Workers’ Union at the Oddfellows’ Hall this week was most enjoyable and well patronised. The winners of the euchre tourney were. Ladies, Mrs. Poananga, I; Mr. Me-, Glone, 2; men, Mr. Money, 1; Mr. Cameron, 2. The old-time Gay Gordons ■was a favourite with dancers, and everyone spent a happy time. Mr. E. Regan and Miss Bainbridge won the Monte Carlo, and Ali\ Swan was M.C. Impressed by the public support in the past, the committee intends to leave no Stone unturned to achieve a greater success with similar functions in future.
