Vice-Regal Visit to Woodville
ARRANGEMENTS FOE FRIDAY
Arrangments for tho visit of the Governor-General and the Lady Blcdisloo to Woodvillo on Friday morning were finalised at a special meeting of the Borough Council on Monday evening. Their Excellencies will arrive by car at 10.15 a.m., and will proceed direct to Fouataino Square, whore the reception will bo held. Inside the gates there will be a guard of honour, furnished by the Returned Soldiers’ Association, Boy Scouts and Girl Guides. After the National Anthem has been played by tho band, which will be accommodated in the rotund;!, tho viceregal party will proceed to a dais under the trees bordering the Square, where they will moot a number of local residents. Tho Mayor (Mr. J. Eldor) will then deliver an address of welcome.
The public are cordially invited to be present, and arrangements are being made for tho attendance of school children. Shopkeepers aro requested to display bunting on .their premises, and to close between the hours of 10.15 and 11.4-5 a.m.
Should the weather be wet, alternative arrangements have been made for the function to be hold in the Drill Hall.
