Mount Richards Road

The company of boy scouts who are camping at the Coal Creek Bridge, are breaking camp and returning to their homes on Saturday. The scouts are from Palmerston North and surrounding districts, and are under the supervision of Scoutmaster Hyde, of Palmerston North.

On Sunday, a forceful thunderstorm broke the heat, at Mount Richards Road, and though it was very welcome from a pastural point of view, picnic parties were forced to make hasty retreats. Mushrooms arc now beginning to make an appearance in the district. Oh Tuesday afternoon an aeroplane passed over Mount Richards Road, and owing to the clear day, a wonderful view of its passage over the mountains was obtained.

On Saturday, a team of tennis players from Mount Richards Road went to Pohangina to play a friendly match, but a heavy shower of rain prevented more than six sots being played-
