Civil Business in Magistrate’s Court
For the first time this year civil business was dealt with in the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court yesterday, Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., being on the Bench. Two hundred and thirty-four plaints, including judgment summonses, occupied almost two hours of the Court’s time. Tho remainder of the day was for the hearing of defended eases, 'of which there were five on tho list.
