POROUS VASES.
Pottery jars and vases -when used to hold flowers aften allow the wator to ooze through and causo stains on polished surfaces. The vases may bo rendered watertight if they arc varnished inside. To do this, simply pour a little varnish in and shake it about until the whole of the insido is covered. Allow to dry before filling with water.
