Foxton Talkies
“ The House of Unrest/ ’ will be shown at the Foxton Talkies to-night. Brib Jiant acting is promised from its cast of six characters, portrayed by Malcolm Keen, Dorothy Boyd, Tom Hclmorc, Hubert Carter, Leslie Perrins and Mary Mayfren. The part of Hearne is played impressively by Malcolm. Keen. Dorothy Boyd’s performance it i 3 expected will be greeted with a good deal of enthusiasm, as well as that of Leslie Perrins. Leslie Howard Gordon, who wrote the original play on which the film is based, also directed. He has contrived to keep the.tense and eerie atmosphere throughout. The nerve strain and fear, the senso of imminent death, the fecb ing of the implacable workings of a
mysterious Trill arc brought out to the full. Altogether, this is a piece of "work rvell worthy of the P.D.C.-Stoll company. The aim of this company is to make British films commensurate with the best products of their American studios.
