The letter was received, it- being explained that there had been some mistake over the matter. The position had been misconstrued, tho branch resolving to hold itself responsible for the prize-money if it wero desired.

In regard to the bacon classes Mr Croucher stated that no official record of the judges’ awards were available. It had been understood that when the coinpetition took place there was to have been a statement, on each and some record kept to ascertain the aggregate points at the Winter Show. It would be extremely difficult now to secure theso figures, although it was presumed that they were somewhere. It was decided that in future- the branch have its own representative appointed to keep records. It was also resolved to write to the Judge at the Lincoln College for the official records.
