Church of Christ Picnic
Yesterday the Church of Christ annual picnic was hold, when about 150 children and adults gathered at Ashhurst Domain, where a very enjoyable time was spent.
The following are the results of the handicap races: —
Primary girls: Joan Guthrie 1, Eileen Guthrie 2, Lilia Uro 3. Primary boys: Gordon Atlcins 1, lan King 2, Prank Arnold 3. Mr. Holden’s class: Murray Walker 1, Jack Guthrie 2, John Johnson 3. Mr. Amundsen’s class: .Fanny Stevens 3, Nona O’Leary 2, Kona Hunter 3. Mr. O’Leary's class: JoanTwoodale 1, Betty O’Leary 2, Jane Stevens 3. Mr. Pullyn’s class: Leo Smith 1, Heniy Brooks 2, Neil Seaddon 3. Mr. Grinstead’s class: Graham Hunter 1 William Pan 2, Biily Willson 3. Mr. Parkeris class: Leon Ansin 1, Ivan Oliver 2, Owen Oliver 3. Young ladies’ Bible class: Misses B. Guthrie 1, E. Stevens 2, A. Brooks 3. Young men’s Bible class: Messrs. C. Brown 1, E. Jones 2, G. Scadden 3. The special championship prize for Mr. Holden’s class was won by Jack Guthrie. The races for married and single ladies and men produced some goodstyle running, and in the keenly contested tug-of-war a team of married stalwarts held their own against allcomers.
