(1) Finish of the Mungaroa Highweight Handicap, with Chief Lino winning. (2) La Moderne winning the January Handicap. (3) The big race of the day, the Wellington Racing Club Handicap, with Rod Sun passing the post ahead of Retract and Tout to Mend. (4) Cardinal Moon, with not much to spare, winning the Trial Plato from Kamal Pasha. (5) The Douro Cup finish, in which the Gisborne-owned Aiguille is well ahead of Navaho and Purse at the winning post. On the left, at the bottom, is the start of the Mungaroa Handicap and the scene Tound the totalisator between events.
