World's Prize Radio Family
CLAIMED BY AMERICAN PAPER TO LIVE IN NEW ZEALAND
The world’s prize radio family lives in New Zealand, says the Daily Nows, ah American newspaper. Not only are three sisters of the family qualified and active radio operators, but there is also a husband and a young brother active in tho game. Kathleen end Nancy maintain the home stations at Douglas street, Balclutha. Their call letters are respectively ZL4DT and ZL4FN. Their sister, Mrs. Peggy Cameron, operates her station ZL4CL at 40 Cargill street, Dunedin, and her husband, Ewen Cameron, ZL4B.T, is one of New Zealand’s best-known amatouTS. It was his enthusiasm that first induced his wife to becomo a licensed amateur in May, 1931. Her example was followed by Kathleen in January, 1932, and by Nancy in July. All throe are members of the Rag Chowers’ Club, a band of radio comrades who have qualified for membership by holding conversation's of sevoral hours’ duration with existing members.
