Shooting Fatality
GUN AND FENCE AGAIN. Per Press Association CARTERTON, Jan. 20. A middle-aged man, Walter Jamieson, employed on one of the coastal boats at Wellington and who had been spending a holiday with his sister, Mrs Johnson, at Peatherston, was found dead last night. The deceased wont rabbiting in the but failed to return. A search party was organised, which found tho body lying less than half a mile from the house, with a discharged gun alongside. Prom the indications, tho deceased accidentally shot himself when getting through a fence, there being a terrible wound in tho stomach. The body was removed to Feadherston for an inquest.
