Napier Harbour Tragedy
ONE BODY STILL MISSING BIG FUNERAL TO-DAY NAPIER, Dee. 30. The body of Norman Low is tho only one not recovered of those missing as a result of Wednesday’s harbour disaster, when ton waterside workers were drowned. Tho Mayor (Mr. J. Vigor Brown) has opened a subscription list for the benefit of the relatives of the victims. A combined funeral of tho nino victims will be hold to-morrow morning. Messages of sympathy have been re ceivcd from the Governor-General, the Prime Minister, tho Leader of the Opposition and many Mayors. The waterside workers resumed today after helping in the search yesterday. At the request of the Prime Minister, the Mayor is to visit all the bereaved families with the object of reporting on their plight. The launch Doris, on which the drowned men were returning to shore, was but slightly damaged.
