The Tivoli
“A PERFECT LADY.” Beauty is ono of the outstanding qualities of “The Perfect Lady,” the British International picture directed by Milton Rosmor, and showing at the Tivoli Theatre to-day. The setting is a boudoir that is bewildering in its love lmess. Of modern design, its mouldings are original and introduce graceful curves where hard and abrupt angles usually obtrude, and delicate draperies and furnishings in. attractive shades provide glamorous colour. Large bouquets of flowers adorn this set and the variety of blossoms enhance the colour scheme and the exuberant atmosphere. Beauty in “The Lovelorn Imdy” also takes its form in Betty Ainann, the lovely young actress, who inhabits the boudoir, A series of breath-taking creations adorn her and the pale pink negligee, trimmed with feathers in which she ornaments the set, defies description. Rosmer was Himself a decoration in a royal blue flannel shirt during the production of this picture which also introduces a beauty parlour! At its conclusion even the camera blinked and the microphone recorded its own sighs of pleased approval. “Indiscretions' of Eve,’'’ an all-British picture starring Fred. Conyngham, Steffi Duna and Lester Matthews will be screened on Monday and Tuesday, A matinee will also be held on Monday.
