“TIMES” WEATHER REPORT

Unsettled and Cooler Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A modcrato westerly depression is crossing New Zealand but the pressure is still rather high to tho north and a fresh anti-cyclone has passed Tasmania. Winds: North to west at first, moderate to strong generally but in places of gale force, backing temporarily to south-west at most places during the next 24 hours. Ideas (New Zealand waters): Rough on the west coast and about Cook Strait and in the far south; elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong south-west to north-west winds and moderate to rather rough seas. Weather: Rather unsettled generally; some rain likely in districts with a westerly aspect and on the high country; showers extending later also to parts of eastern districts but mainly in the South Islands. Temperatures rather cooler to-mor-row.
