A Christmas Message
Extending good wishes to nil members of tho Women's Division of the Farmers' Union for a merry Christmas and a bright and happy Now Year, Mrs. C. C. Jackson, Dominion president, asked what was tho part of the division in the wondrous words of old “Peace and goodwill to ail men upon carthl" Perhaps in no better way could this be achieved than in tho words of Elbert Hubbard, “I dcsiro to radiate health, cheerfulness, sincerity, calm courage and goodwill. I wish to live without hate, whim, jealousy, envy or fear. I wish to bo simple, honest, natural, frank, clean in mind, and clean in body, unaffected, ready to say ‘I do not know,' if so it be, to meet all men on an absolute equality, to face any obstacle and meet any difficulty unafraid and unabashed. I wish othors to live their lives, too, up to tlloir liighost, fullest and best. If I can heip people I will do it by giving them a chance to help themselves; and if 1 can uplift and inspiro let it be by example, inference, and suggestion rather than by jurisdiction. That is to say J desire to bo radiant, to mdiate life.
