Feilding Motor Camp
IMPROVEMENTS TO BE UNDERTAKEN Yesterday morning the Mayor (Mr. C. E. Taylor), with Crs. D. C. Cullinane, T. Collins and G. Kilvington, visited Johnston Park in connection with Mr. Cullinanc’s proposals for improvements to the motor camp site. After making a thorough inspection it was agreed to provide additional facilities for visiting motorists at the pavilion, which, it was decided, offered the best possible site for the camp lay-out. Steps are to be taken to provide bathing facilities for men and women, as well as wash-hand basins and an open fireplace. In addition it is likely that hot points will be fitted in the building for the use of those who bring with them small electric cookers or electric kettles. It is hoped that the improvements to be made will make the Feilding motor camp ground equal, in the matter of conveniences, to any in the North Island.
