TWO FURTHER LEAGUE GAMES DECIDED ON SATURDAY.

The Manawatu Football Association's senior league competition, now' nearing the final stages, was advanced a further si age on Saturday but, despite tho fact that, two senior games were scheduled, little interest was attached to the results. St. Andrew's, the trophy leaders, made the journey to Wellington to meet Marists in the Chatham Cup game and suffered defeat by nine goals to two while tho City team (formerly R.S.A.), playing at North street park, were beaten by Athletic by four goals to one. Flock House and Fcilding met at Feilding. Tho game at Palmerston North was even, but not exciting. At half-time Athletic led by one point to nil, the players putting on another two goals soon after the lemons. In tho last stages Athletic added onco again, while R.S.A. netted for the first time. The first point for the winners was netted by Rainforth. Hearsay then had a chance to shoot into an open goal and made no mistake. Tho third point was secured by Watts who, catching the leather on the rebound, shot into an open net. The final tally read:—

Athletic 4, City (R.S.A.) 3. Mr. C. S. Matthews made an efficient referee. Other games played at North street park during the afternoon resulted as follows: —
