United Football Club Holds Jolly Dance

Tlio dance arranged by members oi the United Football Club and held in the Cosmopolitan hall last evening was attended with very pleasing success. Many dancers enjoyed dancing to the lively strains of Gus Large’s Aces and there were novelty numbers to add to the interest. Mr. 11. Floyd contributed music for extra dances and a “lucky spot” dance was won by Miss l’ottcr end Mr. Finlayson. An energetic men’s committee, headed by the efficient secretary, Mr. H. A. Stone, was responsible for the excellent arrangements made and they hail the able assistance of Mesdames Carruthers, Bradley, Stone and Hutchins. Messrs. L. Cope and E. -T. Kells kept things moving happily and an excellent supper was served. During the evening a competition, which had been run to augment club funds, was drawn, the lucky number being GOS.
