New Zealand’s Apple Expert Reaches Record
INCREASE IN CONTINENTAL DEMAND. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. New r Zealand’s apple exports last sea- I son reached the record total of .1,135,- | 000 boxes. This informaioii was con- I tained in a report of tho Empire Mar- t keting Board received by the Depart- j ment of Scientific and Industrial j Research. The aggregate shipments j from Australia and New Zealand combined reached 4,250,000 boxes, compared with the previous year’s 5,423,000. Australia’s total was 3,145,000 boxes, compared with 4,315,000 last year, and New Zealand 1,135,000, compared with 1,105,000. The report discloses a fall in tho amount imported by Britain, but an increase in the Continental consumption of New Zealand apples.
