Light Snowflakes Locally
COLD CONDITIONS CONTINUE Serving to emphasise the particularly cold spell felt in Palmerston North during the past week, a very light fall of snow was experienced yesterday morning. It was, how.cver, merely a few flakcs i although snow of any kind in the city is most unusual. Temperatures have been very low during this week, varying between 30 and 42 degrees at times. Yesterday' the mercury' stood at 35 degrees at 9 a.m., but as the day' advanced the weather became more raw and uninviting.
