HAD BEEN DEPRESSED RECENTLY. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Philip John do Ja Cour, aged 70, head of the boot manufacturing firm of P. J. do la Cour and Son, died in the Christchurch hospital this afternoon from a gunshot wound in tho abdomen. Ho was found wounded in Ills bedroom by fas daughter-in-law, who had heard the noise of a shotgun, which lay beside him on the floor. It is stated that, Mr. do la Cour had been depressed since his son was killed m a motor accident recently;
