Keen Demand for Dairy Stock

AT WEEKLY FEILDING SALE BEEF DEARER Sheep were in short supply at the weekly Beilding stock sale held yesterday when breeding ewes were firm at last week’s rates. In the fat pens a modest entry of hoggets sold on a quality basis, while ewes were on a par with late rates. Wethers were firmer. Beef registered aa improvement which wes encouraging to vendors, but store cattle, while slightly better, experienced a more or less disinterested market. Dairy stock met with a very keen inquiry, buyers concentrating upon spring heifers and close to profit cows. The following arc the quotations:

Fat sheep: Hoggets, 9s, 0s Od, 0s 10d, 10s 3d to Us 8d; ewes, 0s 3d, 0s lid, 7s Id, 7s Od, 7s lOd, 7s lid, Bs, 8s 2d, Ss Od. 8s Od, 8s lOd, Ss lid, 9s, 0s Od, 10s Od, 10s 9d to 10s lOd; wethers, 10s, ,11s 3d, 12s, 12s Id, .12s Od, 13s 0d to 15s 3d.
