Mr. Crawford added that the secretary had interviewed all the players, and it was definite that several of them would not be available for matches that were timed to start at 1.30. The president considered that as the council had already dealt with the matter the decision would have to stand, although it might bo advisable to give club members greater consideration when fixing times for the various matches, Fcilding Agricultural High School wrote reminding the council that no reply had been received to its suggestion that as the ago limit for fourth grade players had been dropped, tho schoo) might be able to enter Its fourth grade team for the fifth grade competition, and that as other fifth grade teams were not required to travel, the council might make Fcilding an allowance for travelling to Palmerston North.—lt was decided that the Fcilding High School be informed that the council regretted that its finances would not permit of any travelling expenses being allowed this season.
