Cold, But Improving Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A cyclone which crossed the Tasman Sea rapidly on Sunday was centred near East Cape at 4 p.m. Tho pressure is very high over south-eastern Australia. Winds: Moderate to strong southwest. to South-east prevailing, seas rough north of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, elsewhere moderate, but w-m. a considerable southerly swell. Eastern Tasman Sea: Fresh to strong southerly winds; rough seas. Weather: Improving somewhat but still cold and changeable with showers at times in most districts, and some snow on tho ranges. Frosts inland in the South Island.
