Midgets Married at Gretna
The smallest bride and bridegroom who have ever wed in the smithy at Gretna Green were married there., on March 22. The smallest woman in the world was one of the witnesses. The pair are members of a troupe that was performing at a Carlisle theatre. The bridegroom, who is 32, is Mr George Stoddiart. He is 32 inches high. The hrido is Miss Evelyn Crane, who is 28, and four inches shorter than her husband. Mr William MacGregor, who is three feet high, was beet man.
