AUSTRALIA’S CHAIRMAN DECLINES TO COMMENT ON NEGOTIATIONS. Received Sunday, 9.50 p.m. MELBOURNE, May 22. Dr. Robertson, chairman of the Australian Board of Cricket Control, declares that the London News-Chron-icle’s report of the Marylebone negotiations with the Australian Board regarding an extension of tho English team’s tour to New Zealand is so full of inaccuracies that it would take a week to explain and that, lie is too busy to spend that time. Ho declined to give an outline of what happened on the occasion of the visit of tho New Zealand representative or to indicate whether there was any likelihood of an alteration in the itinerary. Dr. Robertson did say he had not heard the suggestions that the return match at Perth should be omitted.
