Week-end Railway Excursion to Wellington
WEEK-END AT WELLINGTON A special week-end excursion to Wellington has been arranged by the Railway Department, and an express will leave Napier at 11.20 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, and arrive at Wellington at 6.22 p.m. Besides stopping at the principal Hawke’s Bay stations on route, the train will pick up passengers at Palmerston North, where it is scheduled to leave at 3.36 p.m. The return trip from Wellington will begin at 6.5 p.m. on Sunday, and the train is timed to reach Palmerston North at 9.8 p.m. The excursion tickets may also be used for return on the 9.20 a.m. Napier-Welling-ton express on Monday, May 30. The excursion fares for the return trip are the same as single-trip fares for ordinary travel, so that a week-end holiday can be taken for half the usual transport-cost.
