WELLINGTON PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Wellington provincial executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union was held at Feilding yesterday, Mr. K. W. Dairymple (president) presiding. Thero were also present Messrs. G. L. Marshall, A. Fannin, J. B. Bradley, A. Amon, J. B. S. Dudding, F. Cash, A. Howard, C. B. Gordon, W. L. Grice, D. L. Younger, J. Watt, A. Campbell, G. Watt, J. 11. Mason,. D. Simpson, E. Hogg, J. L. Lambert, L. McLean, L. Hammond, A. Marshall, G. E. Anderson and J. G. Eliott. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs. D. Scott and D. D. McLean. The treasurer (Mr. Campbell) reported on the finances, stating that the posi r tion was very satisfactory. The secretary reported that tho membership was being well maintained and that everything was working satisfactorily under the order system. The adoption of the report and bal-ance-sheet was proposed by the chairman, whose remarks are reported elsewhere. Concluding, Mr. Dalrymple said that, as a new president would be elected, he desired to thank the delegates for the support they had accorded him. The large attendance of delegates at the meeting was a great help to him, and he was happy to know that farmers were enthusiastic towards the union and its work. He would like to thank the secretary (Mr. K. M. Little), whose assistance had been invaluable to the speaker during his term of office. Mr. Dalrymple also paid a tribute to the press' and the help he had received from representatives of tho papers attending meetings of the executive. Seconding the motion, Mr. Hammond said that it was very pleasing to know that the union was holding its head above water, despite the difficult times. He considered that Mr. Dnlrymplo was to be commended for the manner in which he had conducted the meetings of the executive. Thanks were due to him for his work on behalf of tho farmers. Messrs. Dudding, Logan, McLean and G. L. Marshall supported the remarks, after which the report and balancesheet were adopted. of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. Lloyd Hammond; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. B. Gordon (Marton), D. Scott (Taihape) and W. L. Grice (Feilding); executive, Messrs. Eliott, Grice, Campbell, Mason, Bradley, G. Watt and J. Tkomassen (Feilding); KW. Dalrymple, H. T. Whale, A. C. Birch, A. Howard, G. L. Marshall, A. Marshall, F. Cash, J. Dudding and A. Amon (Marton); A. Fannin, G. E. Anderson, W. R. Anderson and W. Bicknell (Taihape); Logan McLean, R. Hogg, J. L. Lambert, D. Simpson and Armit (Hunterville); J. Watt (Rangiwahia); and Stanley (Apiti), together with those members appointed by the Mangawcka, Ohakuno and Waimarino branches; delegate to tho Do-' minion conference, Mr. Dalrymple; hon. treasurer, Mr. A. Campbell; auditor, Mr. A. H. Maguire.
