RUBBER TYRES IN TRAINS. -After two years of experiment the first motor-coach equipped with rubber tyres, adapted to running on steel rails, was put into commission on the St. Florent-Issoudan line in France recently. The invention is hailed as a revolution in rail transport, being cheap, noiseless and fast. This picture shows the car, "Ia Micheline" on her trial run, when she easily attained a speed of 78 miles an hour.
