A member of the Huddersfield Borough Council, Mr. Norman Crossley, who formerly weighed 20 stones, recently concluded a fast of 42 days, in which his only sustenance was lemon water. Mr. Crossley reduced his weight by four stones, and after being refused as a risk by a life insurance company, has now been classed Al. He declares that rheumatism, lumbago and eye trouole have been completely; cured by, the fast.
