Airs, A. AI. Bailey, of Kimbolton roail, Feilding, is spending a holiday with relatives in Auckland. Aliss Alarca Bailey, of lviwitea, is on a brief visit to Wellington and is the guest of Airs. Stanley Wheeler. Airs. W. T. Foster, of Lyttelton, lias returned from a holiday spent at Stratford and is staying with her daughter, Mrs. 13. J. Worry, of Kongopai street. A well-known Society woman at Home is running a business of cleaning clothes! She shows tho world that clothes can bo collected, cleaned and returned to the customer within six hours. Airs Gladstone Ward and family arrived in Wellington this week by tho Alonowai ou their return to New Zealand from an extensive tour abroad, which included Palestine, Turkey, Syria, Italy and England. Airs Alaud Elizabeth Bire.hall was ordained in the Christchurch Cathedral on Sunday by Bishop Wcst-Watson. She left Oamaru to work under the Bov. B. do Lambert in the Parish of St. James, Eiccarton, and is now to follow her ministry in the parish of Tuahiwi. Aliss Dorothy Bridges, of Alelbourne, has arrived in Wellington en route for Hastings, where she will bo the guest of her aunt, Airs. lx. Braithwaitc. Aliss Bridges is the daughter of a distinguished Australian soldier, the late Sir William Bridges, who commanded the First Division of the Australian Expeditionary Force for Gallipoli and was killed at the landing.
