The annual sale of poppies in the city and suburbs to-day resulted in the collection of £97.1. The return is incomplete, and it is expected that last year’s total of nearly £ISOO will be exceeded.

Poppy day appeal in Wellington city and suburbs is expected to realise £IOOO. The sum of £625 was realised in the city area.
