Dear Cogs, Mr Puzzloman puzzled a. good many of 11s this week, even Mr PrinteTman and several others in the office could 3«>t do tho Skilltest. But I am pleased to say five of the Cogs managed to ilnd all the answers, which shows that you really work hard with the Skilltests. With strict instructions to keep within an inch or two 1 must not ramble on with my letter this week, but. feel X must refer to the thought that is with most of us at this time. On Monday next you will all in one , way or another be taking your part in the solemn service of' remembrance on Anzae Day. To wft older folk that 'day brings back poignant memories of the stirring days of the War and a revival of the pride we felt in our brave soldiers. While we hope the necessity for those deeds may never happen in your lives, it is well for you to know the sacrifices those soldiers made, and are still making, for their King and Country. Kiwi tea. Dear Hub, —Not long ago I went to a church, picnic. Wc played many games and after that we had afternoon tea. After that there was prize-giving for church attendance, and I got a Bible. I remain your loving Cog, Nigger. Ifon should be very proud to receive a prize for attendance. JOKES. Mother (to Betty and B’obby): If you children don’t agree I shall have to take your chocolate away. Bobby: But, Mother, we do agree. Betty wants the biggest piece and so do I. Mangawhata. Dear Hub,—l am writing to you once more, and enclosing the Skilltest, which I hope is right. I enjoy picking the big mushrooms in our paddocks on the way home from school. We are looking forward to our school concert on May 6, n,n;d I can tell you it is going to be ■funny. Nevertheless I hope I enjoy it. The mornings are getting colder now, aren’t they? The nights arc getting longer, too. I have no more news, so I will close with love to all the Gogs and. yourself, from. Lavender Moon. Yes, winter is drawing near. now.
