CORRUPTION CHARGES IN NEWFOUNDLAND. United Press Association. —By Eleetria Telegraph.—Copyright. ST. JOHNS, April 20th. Newfoundland’s political leaders became involved in a free-for-all legal battle to-day an eight more writs were issued for alleged violation of the Placement Act. Two members of the Government including the Premier, Sir Richard Squires, and three members of the Opposition have already been served with, writs charging them with accepting emoluments apart from sessional indemnities and Ministerial salaries while members of the Legislature. The battle started with Opposition members suing members of the Government. Then Government members sued Opposition members and to-day Government members are suing Opposition members and Government members alike*
