From Our Own Correspondent. After the business of electing a school committee had been settled on Monday evening the householders present wore asked to consider the matter of forming a library committee. Mr. S. Hynes was voted to the chair. The chairman briefly outlined the history of the library and pointed out the fact that it had been managed entirely by one person, Mr. E. Pearson. Great credit- was due Mr. Pearson for the painstaking manner in which he had carried out his self-imposed task, solely for the benefit of booklovers in the locality. To him their thanks were due.
The following were elected as a library committee: Mrs. A. Withers and Messrs. J. Amer and T. Shalders, with power to add to the number. It was decided that the committee should meet after the annual householders meeting. The sum of £2 16s was handed in by Mr. Pearson being credit balance on hand.
