Manawatu-Oroua Power Board
To the Editor. Sir, —Would you allow me a few lines in your valuable paper to express my pleasure and appreciation at tko action taken by the Mayor of Eeilding (Mr. C. E. Taylor) in attempting to link up with other local bodies that are placed in a similar position to Eeilding in relation to Power Board matters. This step was urged by the Manawatu-Oroua Electricity Consumers’ Association some months ago, as its members considered that such action on the part of the. local Borough Council would do much towards bringing about the aims of the association, by strengthening its cause and widening the sphere of its policy. I can assure the Mayor that I and my fellow members will be the first to welcome the endorsement of his action by other local bodies, as well as the cooperation that as a result may be forthcoming. Naturally, the members of my association arc now hoping that the ratepayers will do their share at the pending county elections in making effective I lie objective of the association. I am, etc., W. SALT.
