An interesting article in the News Sentinel of Port Wayne, Indiana, refers to the opportunities which a period of depression offers the alert business man. The article continues: — "Now that the worst of the industrial slump is over, it is interesting to remember that Flick started his moneymaking career by buying v eoke ovens in the slump of the ’seventies. Carnegie made £60,000,000 by buying steel plants in hard times. Hundreds of fortunes have been made by optimists buying from pessimists.
