New Zealand’s Safe Train Travel 150 Millions Without Fatality AGAIN the New Zealand Railways have completed another big working year without causing the death of a passenger, thus achieving a marvellous record of I 50 million passengers during the past six years without one fatality. This aggregate, equivalent to the transport of the Dominion’s whole population, a hundred times over, is convincing proof to the people that their railways strictly observe the principle of “Safety First,” day and night, over the whole of the system (more than 3000 route miles).
