Cloudy and Unsettled Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The recent anti-cyclone is now passing away and a rather deep depression of a westerly type is advancing towards New Zealand, its front having already reached the South Island. Winds: Moderate to strong northerly reaching gale force in places in and south of Cook Strait, a change to southerly setting in during to-morrow in tho far south and later extending northwards. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rough south of Cape Egmont and off shore south of Castlcpoint; elsewhere moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong northerly to westerly winds backing later to southerlies; seas rough. Weather: Cloudy and unsettled in districts with a westerly aspect and the far south with rain developing; elsewhere fair at first but with increasing cloud and later conditions becoming more generally unsettled.
