British Press Lands Dainty Fox Star On Her Recent Visit
Dainty Janet Gaynor stepped ashore at Southampton recently, waved a little gloved hand and said “Hello England!” England thereupon decided that she is as adorable in the flesh as she is on tho screen. It was Miss Gavnor ’s first visit. She was on holiday with her husband, Lydell Peck, and her mother. Soon after her arrival a Press reception was held at the Dorchester Hotel. ,'Whether Janet won the whole-hearted admiration of the newspapermen (and women) may bo judged from these brief extracts from their stories: “Miss Janet Gaynor is utterly unlike any other cinema star I have ever met . . . wistful and ethereal, with great brown eyes that mirror gentleness . . . an elfin-like creature who has somehow avoided disillusion.” —Seton Margrave, “Dailv Mail.”
“Janet Gaynor is really very sweet. Her millions of fans will bo pleased to hear that meeting her does not bring disillusionment.” “Daily News” and “Chronicle.”
