Feilding Chamber of Commerce

MEETING OP MEMBERS Mr. A. J. Kell or' (president) presided over the largely attended meeting of the Fcilding Chamber of Commerce on Monday night when Mr. R. M. AVatson, S.M., delivered a lengthy address on “Road Communications 1 ' for which ho received the thanks of the Chamber.

The resignation of Mr. A. H. Sutton as a. member of the Chamber was accepted with regret ami it was decided to forward a. letter of appreciation to Mr. Sutton who has taken up his residence at Huntcrvillc. Reference was made to the keen interest Mr. Sutton had always displayed in the town’s progress over a period ot: 25 years. He had occupied many public positions and had always pulled more than his

weight. The President announced that the committee of the Chamber had agreed to receive a deputation from the T eliding Relief AVorkors’ Committee who desired lo obtain the advice of business men of the town on matters concerning the unemployed.
